Christmas has been a busy time for me. Since just before Thanksgiving I feel like I've been going non-stop. One thing I spent some time on right before the holiday, that did not involve shopping for presents or baking, was a "house portrait" for a friend at work. I was really excited to get to work on this project because it had been a while since I done a house portrait. I had done several before, mostly of my own family's homes, which she had seen here on my site and liked enough to want to commission one of her home for her husband as a Christmas gift. No pressure - ha ha!
This was also one of the largest portraits I'd done, at 16"x20", so I was a little nervous about messing up something so important, especially since I was a little rusty. However, I think it turned out pretty well and at least she was happy with the result. That's all that matters - happy clients! And, on top of it, I got a commission from another teacher who saw the final result! I have a feeling 2017 is going to be a good year!
